Professor Kerstin Schoor of the European University Viadrina at Frankfurt an der Oder has built a new database of more than 1,000 Jewish authors who were active in Berlin.
Each entry of the Digital Archive of Jewish Authors in Berlin 1933–1945 (DAjAB) includes extensive structured and linked data about an author’s biography, family and literary connections, and works. The project also invites users to contribute with documents, photos and information. Crucially, the database includes links to archival collections and literary estates, which link to LBI holdings of writers such as Julius Bab, Leo Baeck, Fritz Bamberger, Clara Grunwald, Hilde Marx, Ernst Simon, and Robert Weltsch.
