Reproductions and Permissions Inquiries Form

Please use this form to request reproductions of materials in LBI collections, such as photocopies or high-resolution scans, or to request permission to use them in a publication or other product. If there are charges associated with your request, either for reproductions (see our schedule of fees for reproductions here) or commercial usage rights, a staff member will reply to clarify details about the request and generate an invoice.

Rights and Reproductions Inquiry



Materials - Please describe the materials for which you are requesting reproductions or permission to publish.

Please describe in detail the specific items (page numbers, series, box, or folder information, etc...) and format (photocopies, scans, hi-resolution photographs, microfilm duplicates, CD-ROM, etc...) requested. Please limit to 1000 characters.


Intended Use

This should include information such as the title, publisher, and circulation of a publication, location and duration of an exhibition, etc. Please limit to 1000 characters.


Usage of Our Materials in Publications

If you intend to use the requested LBI materials for a publication, we would usually ask you to provide LBI with a copy of a book or an article for the LBI Library Collection.


Most requests are fulfilled within 10 business days. Faster service is available for an additional charge.

Please indicate the date you would like to receive the materials. Note that additional fees depend on the type and amount of materials requested, and not all requests for expedited service can be honored.


By submitting this request, I acknowledge that I understand and agree to the following stipulations:

I understand and agree that in providing reproductions Leo Baeck Institute retains its right to publish the materials identified above or to grant permission to others to do so, and that I am responsible for publishing or for using in facsimile reproduction these materials in accordance with the copyright protections established in the United States Copyright Law. I also agree not to alter the image in any way when publishing or displaying the reproduction.

I understand and agree that no authorization issued in response to this inquiry grants license to make any of the materials identified above part of any other institution or organization’s archives, photographic collections or special collection.

Nor does any authorization granted by the Leo Baeck Institute remove the author’s and publisher’s responsibility to guard against the infringement of rights that may be held by others.

I agree to use the following credit line when I publish or use in facsimile reproduction the material(s) listed above:
